District seeks professional carers: Information evening on 27 August

The number of people requiring support with everyday tasks is rising steadily in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. At the same time, the number of people working in this sector is falling. To address this shortage, the district’s care authority is hosting another information evening on 27 August.

Support in everyday life
If you enjoy working independently and setting your own hours, and would like to support people who are no longer able to manage their own affairs, a career as a professional carer might be the right choice for you. Tasks include, amongst other things, dealing with administrative matters, providing support with financial management, handling post and assisting with medical matters. This role offers a high degree of flexibility: you are free to organise your own working hours, place of work and the number of people you support. As a result, the role is also suitable as a part-time job or can be easily combined with family life. Remuneration is paid by the relevant local court.

Information evenings in Korbach and Frankenberg
In order to attract more professional carers to Waldeck-Frankenberg, the district administration is inviting all interested parties to a further information evening on 27 August at 5.00 pm at the district administration offices on Bahnhofstraße in 35066 Frankenberg. The district’s guardianship authority, part of the Health Services Department, will provide detailed information on the subject – in particular regarding the duties, requirements and general conditions. In addition, an experienced professional guardian with many years’ service will share insights from their day-to-day work and answer questions. The event is free of charge and no prior registration is required.
