An apprenticeship with a future in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district

Is administration just a dreary office routine? Far from it! Anyone starting their career with the Waldeck-Frankenberg district authority can expect far more than just desk work. One example of this is the district tour, which took place again this year for the new apprentices and students.

On this joint outing, the junior staff not only get to know each other better, but above all get to know the region in which they will later be working. The tour took them across the district to various places of interest and key institutions. A particular highlight this year was when the trainees and students planted a tree together with the Domanialverwaltung – a symbolic act that fits perfectly with the district administration’s philosophy: here, you can not only help shape the future, but also put down sustainable roots.

More than just a job: community and diversity
The district tour is just one example of the many activities that foster a strong sense of community amongst young professionals. Whether through joint projects for a good cause or internal events – team spirit is a top priority here. Practical experience – whether as a trainee or a student – is just as varied. During their three-year training and study period, young professionals rotate through various specialist departments within the administration. This gives them comprehensive insights into the diverse range of tasks and helps them discover where their personal strengths and interests lie. The theoretical component is thoroughly supported by the Vocational School in Korbach and Bad Arolsen, the Hesse Administration Academy and the University of Applied Sciences for Public Management and Security in Kassel.
