No more game collection point in Hatzfeld

The Waldeck-Frankenberg district will be closing the game collection centre in Hatzfeld on 31 July. To ensure that wild boars can be tested for ASF in good time, all authorised hunters are asked not to bring any newly hunted animals to the game collection centre. Wild boars that have tested negative for ASF must also be collected from the game collection centre by 10.00 am on 30 July at the latest. Any wild boars still at the game collection centre after this time will be disposed of at the owner’s expense.

The general order will be amended accordingly. Hunted wild boar intended for processing may then be stored in private cold stores within Restricted Zone I until the results of the ASF test are available, provided that these cold stores have been approved by the district authority as a ‘designated facility’. Applications for this may be submitted informally by email .
