Social Award Ceremony

Promoting the common good, recognizing social commitment: At regular intervals, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district awards a prize for voluntary social commitment to prize winners who have rendered outstanding services to the common good through their work. Especially in the area of social welfare there are numerous people from Waldeck-Frankenberg, associations and organizations that care for disabled, elderly or dependent people. In some cases, the commitment has existed for decades. These individuals or groups or associations are to be honored with the social award. It is awarded in alternation with the other prizes that the district has been offering for years for nature conservation, culture and monument preservation.
