Guided tour of the GrenzWelten Geopark: Düdinghausen Geo-Adventure Tour

Geopark guide Horst Frese invites you to join him on a walk along the geological circular trail in Düdinghausen, offering stunning views of the Land of a Thousand Mountains. The walk will explore fascinating questions such as how gold came to be found in our mountains and rivers, why the Sauerland is called the Sauerland, why this area was a tropical bathing paradise 360 million years ago, and why the bark beetle is so fond of our forests. The fossil hunt in one of the three quarries is particularly interesting for children. To round off the walk, there will be a short prize draw and a stop at the museum café for fresh waffles. Booking is required and can be made up until the day before the event.

Meeting point: 2.00 pm, Medebach-Düdinghausen Church (parking available at the Heimathaus car park, Oberschledorner Str. 19); Duration: approx. 2.5 hours; Registration/enquiries: Geopark guide Horst Frese, email horstfrese@t-online.de, tel. 0160 8471524; Contribution towards costs: €6 for adults, free for children and young people
