Guided tour of the GrenzWelten Geopark: Off to the coral reefs

The team from the Heimatbund Semper Idem and the Haus Hövener Museum will take you on a little ‘reef exploration’ around Brilon. Would you like to know where Brilon’s coral reefs can be found, how and when they were formed, and what our landscape looked like in prehistoric times? Are you familiar with the rocks in our area, and have you ever spotted coral or shell impressions? Join us on a geological journey around Brilon and let’s delve deep into the geological history of our region. On our excursion, you’ll also learn fascinating facts about our forest. Feel free to bring a magnifying glass along for your explorations. Registration for this free event is required via Brilon Wirtschaft und Touristik, tel. 02961 96990.

Meeting point: 2.00 pm, Kreishauspark, Brilon, by the small pond, Am Rothaarsteig 1; Duration: 3 hours, 3 km; Information: Team Heimatbund Semper Idem/Museum Haus Hövener
