Psychiatry Day: Reducing stigmatisation - mental health concerns us all

Working together for more understanding, openness and support

Mental health affects everyone. Despite this, many sufferers still experience prejudice, marginalisation and silence. Stigmatisation not only prevents open conversations, but also makes access to help and treatment more difficult.

This year's 7th Psychiatry Day "Reducing stigmatisation - mental health concerns us all" aims to provide information, raise awareness and encourage open exchange. Presentations and workshops will show ways in which understanding can be promoted, prejudices reduced and mental health strengthened as a communal task.

Information stands from the participating organisations will provide an overview of the services on offer with a focus on (social) psychiatric care. The event will be moderated by Thomas Korte. Catering will be provided by the KostBar and KreisBar of the Lebenshilfe-Werk Kreis Waldeck-Frankenberg e.V.
