Women’s Café – Together rather than alone

Some experiences remain unseen – until we share them. Sometimes, one’s own home is no longer a safe place. Many women have endured, carried on and survived in secret for a long time. Often invisible to others – yet strong every single day. That is an achievement. At the Women’s Café, these experiences can be discussed openly. The Café is a safe space for women who are experiencing or have experienced psychological or physical violence, who feel threatened, or who are being stalked or have been stalked. It offers a safe space where every woman can be herself. Here, new connections can be made, mutual support can grow, and moments of understanding and community can be shared. This exchange is intended to help reduce uncertainties and fears, overcome feelings of shame, and find new strength.

The Self-Help Contact Centre runs the Women’s Café in partnership with the charity ‘Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. Waldeck-Frankenberg’. Any women who are interested are welcome to drop in. No booking is required.
