Exhibition: ‘Paths to Coming Out’

The exhibition “Country Lanes to Coming Out” tells the coming-out stories of ten queer people from rural areas. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, trans* and queer people of all ages share their coming-out stories, experiences and hopes. The exhibition comprises 12 roll-up banners and can be borrowed free of charge from the Specialist Service for Women and Equal Opportunities. The exhibition was created by the NRW State Specialist Centre ‘blick*’ for queer structures in rural areas. The centre’s experience shows that venues such as town halls, council buildings and district offices, libraries, adult education centres, universities, cultural centres, hospitals, churches and schools, as well as building societies, cinemas and other public and freely accessible spaces, are well suited to hosting the exhibition.
