Help to overcome special social difficulties (social assistance)
Performance specification
The service includes counselling and personal support for the beneficiaries and their relatives, in particular:
- Help to maintain a dwelling
- Help with finding a place to live
- Help to establish and maintain social relationships and to organise everyday life
- Help in circumstances of violence
- Assistance for prisoners (temporary assumption of rent during imprisonment)
- Assistance on release from a closed facility (prison, therapy facility, youth welfare facility)
- Advice on debt settlement and dealing with finances.
Counselling is provided as personal assistance regardless of income and assets.
This assistance is also provided for those entitled to benefits under SGB II.Legal basis
