Second self-help walk 2026 on 17 June

The second tour of the popular self-help walks organised by the Waldeck-Frankenberg self-help contact point starts on Wednesday, 17 May 2026, at 2:30 pm in the car park of the Graf Stolberg Hut near Willingen-Usseln. As with the first walk, the motto is "Mindfulness in the forest", the tour near Usseln also lasts one and a half hours, covers 3 kilometres and is aimed at self-help activists, but also anyone else interested in taking a walk in the forest together.

The trail is suitable for everyone. Participants are only asked to wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather and to remember to bring tick protection. Please bring your own food and drink. After the leisurely hike, there is the opportunity to enjoy a snack at the Graf Stolberg Hütte; the costs for this are to be borne by the participants themselves.

The staff at the self-help contact centre invite you to work with all your senses on this leisurely walk. The aim of the self-help walk is to get away from everyday life, in which we are usually very focussed on our minds. It is also possible to exchange ideas with other self-help activists, make new contacts and think outside the box.

For organisational reasons, registration for the self-help walk is required and can be made by 15 June 2026 by calling 05631 954-1888 or sending an email to shk@lkwafkb.de. After registration, participants will be sent the exact location description of the starting point.

To make a note: The next self-help walk will take place on 8 July from 10 - 11:30 a.m. near Basdorf.
