Online Driving Licence Office – Your digital route to a driving licence

Would you like to exchange your old driving licence, apply for a new category of driving licence, or apply for your first driving licence? In Waldeck-Frankenberg, you can do this not only in person at the district’s driving licence office, but also easily and conveniently online with just a few clicks from the comfort of your own home.

To do this, you must hold the new electronic identity card in credit-card format, which has the online ID function automatically integrated into it. This enables every citizen to verify their identity online and easily carry out administrative or business matters electronically – including all aspects of applying for a driving licence.

You can have the online ID function activated by your home town or local authority. Using a compatible card reader or the federal government’s ‘AusweisApp2’ app, you can submit your applications directly online.
