Group-wide training
Group-wide training
GPs in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district are very fortunate to be able to work closely with the academic department of general practice in Marburg. This proximity to the centre of their specialism ensures that their knowledge and skills are constantly updated. After all, GPs are regarded as ‘specialists in the whole person’, and new questions arise time and again when treating patients. It is therefore a great advantage that this link to an ‘open university’ enriches the work carried out in the practice.
With our network-based specialist training programme in general practice, we offer you a seamless, coordinated five-year training programme to become a doctor of general practice, with certainty regarding your career path, reliable conditions and high-quality teaching. We live and work in a district that welcomes you with open arms. Whether it’s registering with the residents’ registration office, securing a nursery place or registering your car, whether it’s finding accommodation, your partner’s career prospects, your questions about the training programme or your plans for future (part-time) role in a GP practice: you can always rely on a dedicated support person who will be there to offer you personalised advice and practical help. If we’ve sparked your interest, we warmly invite you to come and get to know us during a no-obligation work shadowing session. And then you can decide whether you’d like to stay with us.
DEGAM Network Continuing Professional Development Plus
The “DEGAM Network Training Plus” programme guarantees structured, continuous and high-quality training to become a specialist in general practice. This training programme covers a wide range of subjects and equips participants with a diverse set of skills for the future challenges of a modern healthcare system. Furthermore, this training programme offers scope for trainees to pursue their own individual professional interests.
Our network-based continuing professional development programme follows the training framework of the DEGAM (German Society for General Practice and Family Medicine) and can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis. Your continuing professional development programme, which is tailored in consultation with you, includes:
- A competence-based curriculum in general practice
- Coordination of the network by a general practitioner
- A coordinated rotation schedule in the clinics, with the option of rotating into other specialisms
- A seamless transition from in-hospital to outpatient further training
- Remuneration in accordance with the collective agreement throughout the entire period of further training
- An offer of personalised mentoring
- A link with the Department of General Practice at the University of Marburg
- Support from the regional centre of excellence, offering a wide range of accompanying seminars
With our very own strengths, we aim to establish a modern learning culture in the outpatient sector of continuing professional development over the long term:
- A detailed case discussion/supervision session once a week
- Time off for further training and work shadowing (22 days a year), including for General Practice Day and the DEGAM Congress
- Study days to reflect on what has been learnt and/or to contribute to HESA and JADE (in consultation with the training practices)
- Participation in regular general practitioner quality circle meetings/Balint group sessions
- Participation of authorised trainers in train-the-trainer programmes
- Evaluation of teaching quality by the ÄiW
