What options are there for obtaining financial or non-financial support for my project? Who should I contact to apply for support? Who can give me further advice on how to successfully carry out my project? These are questions that associations and initiatives – as well as private individuals – frequently ask themselves when it comes to implementing schemes or projects in the field of voluntary work.
Following last year’s great success, which attracted over 100 visitors, the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Council’s Rural Affairs Department is once again organising an information evening on this topic in 2026, featuring the ‘Funding Opportunities Fair’. On Thursday, 17 September 2026, from 6.00 pm, anyone interested can attend the Kulturhalle, Geismarer Str. 26 in Frankenberg (Eder), to find out how to secure financial or non-financial support for their voluntary work.
Potential funding sources will be presented, and supporting organisations will be on hand to answer any questions. To kick off the evening, the Oedingen Ideas Workshop will present its successful project, which fulfils all the criteria for a vibrant community space, and will also be available for discussions afterwards.
All clubs, organisations and individuals involved in voluntary work – as well as, of course, anyone else interested in finding out about support options – are warmly invited to the ‘Funding Opportunities Fair’ on 17 September. Admission is free; to help us plan, please register by emailing katharina.oberhofer-ast@lkwafkb.de.
The following organisations will be sharing their expertise during the evening:
