Special information for - District of Waldeck-FrankenbergContact the responsible youth welfare office with your problems. The counsellor decides in a personal interview whether
- Integration assistance is possible for your child or
- Assistance from other social service providers would be more suitable or complementary
The decisive factor is whether the disorder that occurs is actually a mental disability. The Youth Welfare Office obtains an opinion from one of the following professionals for clarification:
- Doctor for child and adolescent psychiatry or psychotherapy
- Child and youth psychotherapist
- Physician or psychotherapist with special experience in the field of mental disorders in children and adolescents.
The Youth Welfare Office decides on the basis of this opinion,
- whether and in what form it grants integration assistance and
- whether other assistance may be needed.
If the assistance is approved, all those involved draw up an assistance plan together. Among other things, this plan specifies
- which goals are to be achieved by the integration assistance and
- how long the assistance will be provided.
Note: The duration of the integration assistance depends on the severity of the mental disability. It therefore varies from case to case.
Requirements
There is an entitlement to integration assistance for children and young people if
- mental health is most likely to deviate from the state typical for the age for more than 6 months, and
