Sausage and ham tasting in the maize maze

The Sausage and Ham Tasting is a guided tasting session during which various artisanal meat and ham specialities from the region are experienced with all the senses, compared and expertly assessed. It refines the palate, imparts knowledge about traditional production methods and highlights the differences in maturation, origin and seasoning.

Certified sausage and ham sommelier Fritz Kästel from the Kohl-Kramer-Kästel butcher’s shop in Borken-Trockenerfurth will be hosting the evening. He will provide a professional introduction to the secrets of sensory analysis, examining texture, degree of maturity and flavours, and revealing which culinary accompaniments pair perfectly with the products. All ham and sausage enthusiasts are warmly invited to the tasting – they can try the samples for themselves, assess the bites and choose their personal favourite of the evening.

Cost: 30 euros per person (including water and 2 glasses of Pils)
